BIOGRAPHY

Davide Scotti is the Head of HSE Culture, Communication and Training at Saipem. He is an author, producer and speaker in the field of health and safety leadership, and an expert in cultural change and communication; he loves to create experiences, workshops, and events that inspire people to live and work in a safer way. Having graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in Management Studies in 2001, Davide began his career in the HSE field in the United Kingdom where he lived, studied and worked for 8 years.

He returned to Italy to join Saipem and devoted himself to the development of “Leadership in Health Safety”(LiHS), a program designed to transform leaders into safety leaders providing them tools and strategies to shape the organizational safety culture. Davide led its development, global roll out and continues implementation of LiHS that today is widely recognized as world class safety leadership methodology. In 2010, he was appointed as General Secretary of the LHS Foundation, a non-profit organization established by Saipem with the mission of raise the safety culture of both industry and society, through the use of non conventional media to reach hearts and minds of managers, workers, students, citizen and institutions.

In order to reach an even wider audience, in 2016 he created the “Italia Loves Sicurezza” movement, a network of individuals who embrace the mission of the LHS Foundation and are united by the same passion for health & safety. In 4 years, the movements generated over 1,700 unconventional events all over the country. From 2016 to 2018, he organized and conducted the Safety Leadership Event trilogy, the biggest safety events in Italy. In 2018, its third and last edition welcomed more than a thousand participants at the Brancaccio Theatre in Rome.

From 2015 to 2018, Davide was the HSE technical director of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) – Italian section and Vice of “Il libro che ti salva la vita” (The Book that Saves your Life), published in 2014 by Sperling & Kupfer – from which the theatrical performance of «Il virus che ti salva la vita» (The Virus that Saves Your Life) was made by Rossolevante. He also edits the Safe Books series published by EPC.
